I felt a series of mistakes made the night less amazing than it could have been. First of all letting that hipster music trainwreck of a DJ start the night off was ing terrible. How the hell are we supposed to get into proper 125 bpm 4/4 dance music when the first DJ ends his set playing 135 bpm prodigy, depeche mode and every daft punk hit in existence?
Droog did what they could to salvage the vibe after that and it was actually a great party for a while but the crowd thinned out by 3-4ish
Dixon and Ame played fantastic music as expected and worked the crowd well, but everything could have gone much better. |

that's too bad - openers can completely kill a night imo - had some of that for lee burridge this saturday night unfortunately.
i wonder how the cheap sunglasses party in SF the next day/evening went? |

| i don't think the "hipster" dj was an opener. i'm assuming he's a DJ for the OMG night which is a totally different party from the RA event. |

Yeah, the first DJ was part of Avalon's OMG series and RA took over after midnight. Nothing necessarily wrong with what he played, but imo he should have been a little more conscious as to what kind of music to play. By the time Droog took over he was literally playing some 138 bpm Prodigy/Chemical Brothers mashup :wtf: |

This is correct, but it doesn't change the fact that he basically ruined the night. |
