Never set foot in Crash Mansion

Update: As of late summer/early fall 2008, Crash Mansion is closed. Although owners had hoped to reopen the club, Crash Mansion has had a suspended liquor license for months. The phone is currently disconnected and a Board of Equalization tax hold is in place (they owe back taxes to the state of California). At least two contractors have reported not being paid for services rendered at the club. No events are booked at the club this fall, according toi their (still live) website. The Guide will keep you posted if the status of the club changes, or if anything new goes into the space.

A clubgoer was shot to death here just outside the venue (stemming from a fight that first started inside Crash Mansion) in early 2008, and in July of 2008 Crash Mansion temporarily lost its liquor licence.

Versus, a massive three-story nightclub about to open in downtown Los Angeles, is located in the old Pacific Stock Exchange on Spring Street.

But the three-story club on Spring Street also pledges to keep the noise down -- a concern for some residents.

Though plenty of bars have sprung up in recent years downtown, a different kind of night-life experience, a three-story club called Versus, will open at 6th and Spring streets inside the old Los Angeles Stock Exchange building next week

i think downtown has a lot of potential. as long as people stay away from the crap "vegas style" nights.

people need to keep it real

if you get a cool EDM event or even hip hop (not hip pop) event, the people will come.

i sure did go to Diggers at the Mayan everytime.

*disclaimer* drunk/stoned

Isn't Club Nokia going to be so huge it will be hard to meet the head count needed to fill it?

JCIZZLE!
Damn that club looks nice! I think I got soggy in the panties. I wonder who's gonna do Saturdays there? :happy2:

I went to the Julieta Venegas concert at the Nokia Center last night. Club Nokia is down the walkway from the Nokia Center and it's 2,300 capacity. They're billing the club as a concert venue a well. The club can be broken down into separate ares with different capacities. They're already promoting several spanish rock/pop acts to perform there. Belanova will be there on Dec 6th. Another interesting observation, one of their nights is also being promoted as a weekly spanish rock club. When that goes on, that club will kick every other spanish rock club's ass!!! It's NICE! My only issue is PARKING!!! I had to bribe a parking attendant to let me park on the VIP parking structure.
