I'm thinking of buying the Oxygen 49. If I use a MIDI to USB cable, will I be able to control all my VST's and Hardware from just plugging the cable from to controller to one single USB port? Sorry for the stupid question, gotta learn somehow though.
Thanks in advance! :D |

| If you want to be able to control your VSTS (i.e., modify parameters) with your MIDI controller then you'll need something like the Novation Remote series: those controllers have automap technology which allows the user to control VST parameters (e.g. cut-off frequency, release, etc.). Most MIDI controllers cannot do this. |

I'm not looking to control the parameters, maybe eventually but not yet :p |

you don't need automap for configuring parameters... :eyes: |

Yep, I should have been more specific. Automap establishes the controls automatically. Other controllers can indeed control VST parameters with the MIDI learn function. |

So will I be able to control VST's with the Oxygen 49 and a Midi to USB cable? Again, sorry for the questions that probably sound ridiculous :tongue2 |

i'm pretty sure you can, you just have to assign whatever parameters you want your controller to control.
if you're using FL Studio, it's fairly easy. For other DAWs im not so sure but i wouldn't imagine it to be a hard task. |

as long as a controller has some assignable faders/knobs/whatever...you can control almost any parameter with it... |
