Carl Cox Wednesday Oct 15 @ Roxy Boston - anyone goin?

Just curious to see who's goin out on a wednesday night to see Mr. Cox perform live in Boston for the first time in a while... I've never seen him around these parts so I'm hoping for the best...
I've also never been to the Roxy... any good? |

what up paul...I'm not planning to go to this, week night shows are hard to get to with work and all. I saw Cox play in boston like 2 or 3 years ago...it was a pretty redic show at avalon. I've never been to Roxy before, but i'd assume it will bw packed.

I was there too the night he played at Avalon, I think it was Fall 2006. Avalon was so packed that night one could barely move |

| yup, it was packed like sardines in there. And the sound was up really loud, left my ears ringing for a while |

was a pretty decent event... kinda weird how everyone had to go into underbar prior to roxy because they were clearing a band's soundsystem out from a concert earlier in the night... after that, they led us upstairs and into the roxy...
the roxy is much larger than i anticipated, actually the nicest club in boston that i can think of at the moment since avalon closed
anyways, carl cox played a pretty good tech-house set which works great with his style, some kinda felt repetitive after a while but still good nonetheless
place wasn't completely packed like the avalon show years ago but definitely a good amount of people... lots of room to dance...
anyways, time for bed everyone, goodnight |

Roxy is about 3500 people total - Way more than Avalon's 2000 capacity for club nights. I would have actually been able to dance at a Carl Cox night for once. Thanks for the review Paul. See you out soon man! |
