With the kind of pull Oliver Stone has he should have made a more defining movie for our times.
I don't see the need to place on the big screen what the whole world already knows.
A cowboy will always be a cowboy.
A puppet will always remain a puppet.
An idiot will always be an idiot. |

i think you're missing the financial drive behind this movie. as we're nearing the end of one of the most controversial presidencies to date, no doubt a lot of people will go and see this.
Mr. Stone stands to profit and get his movie seen by millions. |

I think it is a safe bet what Oliver Stone will make in terms of money because of this flick and the timing.
What I was mentioning was that instead of hitting it out of the ball park Oliver Stone made a movie about what everyone already knows. All this film feels like is a feel good CNN/FOX propaganda story and I am betting it will make everyone who watches it feel like it is ok to up a country in just 8 short years. Who knows Oliver might surprise us but I doubt it with the direction his movies have been like more presently.
I am sure he would be much more respected if he drilled the real issues of why this past presidency and it's campaign failed the US and the rest of the world.
In other words Oliver Stone has lost his balls. He should look back to what made him so widely respected in the first place with his early masterpieces.
Platoon, JFK and Born on the 4th of July are movies, this upcoming Paris Hilton type debacle will never hold a candle to them. |

| looks like a pretty soft and shallow portayal of one of the biggest war criminals ever. I expected a lot more from the guy who brought us JFK. |

what I can deduce from the trailer, it appears to be taking the side that Bush is a moron used like a puppet for the neo-cons and people like Cheney to implement their failed world view policies |
