How many times can I install Logic 8? Is there like a maximum amount of times I can install it? I tried looking around and had no luck...
Thanks! |

The license key is registered to your computer. When you install it for the first time, it goes out on the internet and registers the license key to your computer. You are allowed to install it on two different computers, say one desktop and one laptop. You cannot run it on both at the same time. When Logic launches it will go out on the network and make sure no other computers on the network are running Logic with the same license key.
If you are having trouble with your license key, contact Apple support, they'll get you sorted. |

Is good to remember that this issue only happens on the original version..
In other words, you pay for a limited usage thing that hacks your computer connection, using your band and opening ports without your authorization.. |

NO, it only checks to make sure if you do not have two copies running on the Local Network. If your computer is not connected to the local network, then it'll start just fine. The main purpose is to prevent people from purchasing one copy of Logic, installing it on two computers and attempting to use the second computer as a Logic Node. Obviously you wouldn't be able to use a second computer as a node if it wasnt connected to the network. |

Lets say I install it on 2 computers, and i end up buying a new one... If i uninstall logic 8 from one of my other computers and install it on the new one, wouldnt it still work? |

Maybe, I havent tried that. It may be like Ableton Live where you eventually reach and unlock limit and have to email them to give you additional unlocks. You should contact Apple support and ask them these questions, I'm sure they could answer them more accurately than I have. |
