| I've seen a clip. Looks like satire. It will be hard to take this movie seriously |

one of my few trusted intellectual friends said this movie sucked and despite assurances from the director himself was nothing short of satire (as guess above).
apparently the actors really struggled to portray the characters as nothing more than caricatures, like they didn't buy into it and represented them with their own liberal political views (like Tina Fey's Palin impersonation). he said the only worthwhile one to watch was the guy who played Karl Rove.
also that there wasn't really a point to the whole thing, it was like watching a bunch of sunday newspaper cartoons about bush stitched together by a weaksauce plot. |

sorry, i am writing this from the airport using my cellphone.
hence the spaces.
This movie hit me hard because I am part of this culture, I am
studying in Texas and this 'proud - don't mess with texas'
mentality has gotten to a point where it's not only obnoxious
but insulting. i mean, how can a state be proud to ever create
an like george w.bush? i'll tell you why, because in
texas they make you 'just like him', in the classes, at the parties
on the streets - it's a very 'you have to be an to succeed'
mentality that goes beyond my realm of comprehension. |

there's no humour in this movie, because there's no humour in
the real events that are going around atm. this is no joke.
it's a ed up situation and there's no way a movie about 'W'
will ever be funny, it's sad. it's depressing. it's even more
depressing to see people come up to me and tell me 'well, it-
wasn't funny'. i'm like, jesus it wasn't supposed to be funny
in the first place. |

sad thing, i saw myself in that interpretation of bush.
i saw the typical hot-headed college party boy that was
me, during my first years in this place.
And, i hate it, i hate the culture, i hate the mentality
and their love for guns & mexican mockery.
shame on you texas, shameee on you!
godspeed. |
