Right, the way to make your voite "count" is to understand the reality, which you can only do if you keep yourself informed with the daily news and polls. You have to maintain a pulse on the system if you want to make a difference with your vote.

If you really wanted Green to win, you'd join the party and try to convert existing constituencies by using a methodical approach of tracking each household via phone or door knocking to understand if your party has a chance.

If you haven't gone through the whole process to support what you truly believe in then your opinion doesn't matter (if the party you support is a tiny minority).

are you agreeing with me or do I need to get my dictionary to reply?:p

you gotta have a strategy and clear outlook - there's no way in hell Greens will win, so why not vote for a more feasible candidate?

Because if you really support a party, this is not the way to support them in the long term.

Numbers do matter, no matter how many seats a party wins. If a party keeps winning bigger percentage every election, one day they'll get seats. But if you don't vote for them now, how will they build up the long term support?

no vote is a useless or waisted vote....doesn't matter who you vote for......you have done your civil duty and have voiced your opinion.

Last election I went to the voting station and advised them that I would not be voting as I felt none of the parties represented what I wanted for Canada.

LOL @ all the NDP votes in here.

I lied when I said I voted for the Communists, I actually voted for the Marijuana Party of Canada.
