this sounds like all the rest of max graham's stuff, starting to get very boring indeed.
the best remix is the Filterheadz remix Foo

hmmm, i heard max spin this tune at the club, and it thought it was ok. i'd like to give it a 2nd listen.
it will be hard for it to match up the the fable version, which is my favorite. :) |

The duo behind Barraka (Nick Hale & Gez Dewar, best known as Heliotropic) and vocalist Clare Pearce are also behind the aliases of Vengeance and Fable who have versioned this track but Fable's version was only ever released on whitelabel in 2000.. Vengeange's 2001 version is a reworked take on Fable's version and is the only one of their aliases having an officially released Original Mix. So if you're after Barraka's original, go for Vengeance - Song To The Siren (Original Mix). Alias change is probably just due to the change of label.
My fav remix is Jean-Phillippe Aviance's Dirty South Mix. I don't think Graham's remix is anything special.
I think most of all i like the non-EDM versions of this track tho.. like Tim Buckley's very original version from the late 60s or This Mortal Coil & Elizabeth Frazer's collab version from 1983. |
