| LOL @ the Xone:4D recommendation? how much is that one like $3000? My God though it's probably the best Midi controller out there. I'd one up you guys and set a ing sack full of cats on fire for one! I'd also be doing the city a big favor:D |

This isnt a cheap hobby by any means. The best thing i can say for you to do is find 2 of the cheapest turntables (your limited to vinal on this one. CD tables are never that low) you can possibly locate and some incredibly bargain basement 2 channel mixer if you wanna try under 500 bucks. They sell a few starter kits that should get you around 500 bucks.
But alas the nagging question is WHAT THE are you thinking taking a gig without 1 bit of equipment!!?? I really hope you dont hope to hook it up and it instantly click in your head how to perfectly beatmatch to the point everyone is looking at you with a WTF Mate. |

LOL! The gig is in two years m8ate. I've got plenty of time to learn it all.
I'm going to buy a really cheap laptop loaded up with traktor dj studio. 500 watt amp. And some good speakers. I should be fine with that right? |
