2+2=4
(Not meant as part of the information: This is not meant to be spam - just a thought experiment that struck me last night:)) |

i wouldn't say useless. it is just not really thought provoking.
2+2=4 just IS. there is nothing to think about.
something tells me this thread is not going to go far... |

I don't agree that 2+2=4 "just is". That you assume that it does fully relies on your interpretation of 2 and 4. If you teach a baby that "2" means the index, middle finger and thumb up (I'm avoiding the concept of "3") and you would leave 4 as it were in our society, then 2+2=4 does not hold.
hehe see you can provoke a stupid discussion even from the most innocent statements |

Its not useless. Cause you COULD use it. If you dont know that 2+2 is it would be very hard when you shop and do that kinda stuff right?
So for ppl who didnt know that 2+2 equals 4 this is great information :)
Thx for enlightening us! |

i guess i see what you're saying, but i choose not to read into things like that. i am looking at this with a baseline of information, assuming that we have been taught the same meaning of the numbers. i guess that could be a big assumption.
btw, i like your sig. |

| and a sine wave too ;) |

| [offtopic] it's a clean 909 kick..tho all sounds (yes ALL) are recreatable thru usage of an (infinate) amount of sine waves on top of each other. Well and maybe the 909 uses a sine for the body of the kick...that's more 808 ish tho [/offtopic] |

the square root of 4 = 2 because 2+2=4
so no its not useless...its the basis for A LOT more complicated math |
