K, dude - Seriously - take it easy. I know artistry breeds some pretty fierce pride in work and independent, strong feelings about one's own creations but while I tried to politely hint that you should review your workflow and overhaul - Others pretty much spelled out the big, neon, glowing writing on the wall.
If you think these guys are harsh on the critique, just wait - It's not close by a damned sight. The only thing more gut wrenching than hearing people on your tune on a forum is seeing a dancefloor completely and utterly clear once you bring sub-par material in.
Back to the drawing board. Stick with it and study hard, and if you're really fired up for some helpful critique, cruise on over to our Making Music subforum o'er @ the Anjunabeats Online community.
Regards,

no wonder all ur "tracks" sound like with no apparent advancement.

Well you might be a dj who plays it safe & doesnt break records, you just copy playlists you see on the net | tell me which dj will play ur "tracks"...just ANY "track"

If a prodcuer wants to critque my song as in take it in another direction he should contact me to do a remix i would give you the same toolset & then work it | YOU DONT EVEN HAVE A IN TRACK TO GET IT REMIXED SO WHY WOULD ANYONE ASK TO REMIX IT? |

| Don't gang up on the guy - He's not saying anything wrong per se but he's just a little green and doesn't understand how this kind of thing works. He's got his pointers, he's got advice out of some of us that some producers would likely pay for, just let sleeping dogs lie. |

Thanks Jer I think :conf: |
It wasn't meant as anything against you, I'm just pointing out the obvious.
Here's the skinny - the line between DJs and producers is really blurred now, especially with the availability of low-cost production solutions. Accept constructive criticisms from *any* party, as despite what you think - No. there is no conflict of interest between producers. It's like saying Armin's not going to sign the new Arnej joint because he thinks it might affect sales of *his* next record & remixes. It simply doesn't happen.
Talent recognizes talent in any form, and believe me sometimes it backfires (IE when we optioned on SR's "These Shoulders"). In hindsight though, despite the polarized opinions I'm glad management made the choice to take it because a good record is a good record - And regardless of whether you're a DJ, producer, whatever the f*ck you are, you're bound to have opinions on a track.
Finish the tune. Don't post up ideas, because they're going nowhere unless they're together in a collective whole.
You have two options - soldier on and finish the track with the outline you have now and run the risk of dropping a tune that if it was dropped in front of us, would likely clear the floor (and believe me, we make up a DIVERSE field of tastes) or take the constructive suggestions and improve yourself and your works through them.
