problem with reason 4

why in the sequencer of reason 4 does it have a certin amount of lines when i copy and paste a bass drum it cuts it into segments,when i want to edit the notes to a higher octave i have to do it individually....why is this,do i have a setting on stoping me from editing the whole 8 bars loop at once..
any help would be handy cheers... |

| highlight all the clips and right click "join". now you have one big clip, open it up, select all, and move as you wish. |
