breaking up a mp3 file

what would be the simplest software to use to break up a mp3 file album into seperate songs?....

There was a thread about this not so long ago. A couple of programs were suggested but I can't remember what they were. Have a look for it with the search button and you might find some answers there.

I use Ableton Live. After I have warped a track, I put it into session view and cut it up into certain parts (intro, middle, build, etc) so I can loop whatever I want whenever I want or even go from intro to the build up (assuming the loop is seamless like that).

I use Sound Studio on the Mac.

You pretty much open the file, and set markers where you wanna split it. Than select SPLIT FROM MARKERS and BAM! You got all your individual tracks.

Print out the tracklist onto a piece of paper and punch it really hard.

Should do the trick.
