Budweiser for instance is one of the few beers in the world that will taste exactly the same no matter where it was brewed. They have it to a science (it still sucks.) Most mass produced beer is , hence i believe it is the reason the rest of the world seems to have this opinion.

anyway im off to the pub. cheers guys.

Mate he's telling the truth. Trust me I've been to Melbourne just over a month ago and I know how booming the beer trade down there is. I also know about a lot of the great beers that are made in Europe and elsewhere. But the U.S. has so many beers that you would never even hope to hear about, beers that are only available in the state in which they are brewed. And trust me there are a lot of them, and they're very, very good. I'm not talking Budweiser or Coors Light bull. I'm talking straight up some of the most innovative micro brewing in the world.

Hey Freak do you know what's a good place to get imported beer other than the SAQ?

if you find out who imports the one of your choice they do keg deliveries straight from the brewery...or high volume cases.

most big grocery stores have the same selection as the SAQ...try the Chinese beer Tsao, it is pretty good and on sale everywhere right now.

I really don't see myself getting a whole keg. Have you ever been to the SAQ on Parc and Jean Talon? Their selection is quite diverse and actually nothing like that in grocery stores. After visiting a store in Melbourne (AUS) in August that had over 200 kinds of beer, however, I am no longer satisfied.

move to australia then.
