Get Smart.

My wife on the other hand has almost 300 films in our Netflix queue. :wtf:

I can't wait to watch American Pie 1,2 and 3.

I've seen them all before but seen as all my spare time is spent with my fiancee and she don't wanna watch that stuff I'm stuck til... well, some day unknown.

If you're old enough to have a fiancee you'll find them pretty lame.

I'm 22 and they remind me of simpler times in my teenage years, I personally think my lass would love 'em, but she dunt so, peer pressure and I'll get my way :wtf:
CONNERMAN2000
American Pie 1 and 2 really do bring me back in a nostalgia kinda way. I've seen them both recently, and they don't really stand the test of time (ever since Judd Apatow and crew hit the scene, 90's teen flicks are tame and not really all that funny), yet I find myself enjoying them. American Wedding was absolute garbage, though. Seann William Scott was just plain annoying.

Road Trip is better than all of those.

As for movies I'd like to see...

Burn After Reading - Still haven't gotten around to seeing it. I'm a big Coen Brothers fan; their style of comedy is great, and I'm sure I'd dig this flick.

Quantum of Solace - Bond is back, and I'm an enormous 007 fan. This is an obvious movie to look forward to, especially considering the near-perfect Casino Royale.

Public Enemies - Not hitting theaters until July 2009, but the wait only builds the anticipation for me. With a cast including Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, and a plot concerning a Chicago crime spree in the 1930's, and Michael ing Mann directing, this will be a no-doubt winner.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Brad Pitt and David Fincher (Fight Club) reteam in a movie where Pitt's character ages backwards. Industry pundits have already labeled this flick Oscar material. Pitt might finally get his first Best Actor nod.

Valkyrie - Tom Cruise plays a German Officer who plots to kill Hitler. Might sound silly, but with Bryan Singer (first two X-men movies) behind the camera, this is very promising. Originally, it was set for a June 2008 release, but the studio had to delay simply because the movie wasn't finished. The movie was then pushed to October, but production still wasn't finished. Date got pushed again, this time to Valentines Day 2009, which is ridiculous considering the plot and how love has absolutely nothing to do with it. (even Conan O'Brien mentioned this on his show) Filming is now done, and a new release date of Dec. 26th is now carved in stone, which makes me think that the studio believes this to be Oscar-bait, which is good news.

I still want to check out Tropic Thunder as well, I'll rent the DVD.

Saka... watch Superbad instead of the American Pie movies... much better for something in a similar genre.

Not that this would happen to you, but I watched American Pie after not seeing it in about 6 years, and I was sitting there wondering why I thought it was so funny the first time I saw it.

I know, I'm some sort of thread necromancer. But this doesn't belong in the Recommendations thread for obvious reasons.

Cloverfield + Voltron? Yes, please. Guillermo can do no wrong.
WittyHandle
yes! Looks awesome! Guillermo with a big budget spells good times.

Plus it's got the girl computer voice from Portal.
