MWTA Appearances in the TA Top 250

Will update as the day goes on until I fall asleep (just home from work now).
I know it's just a popularity contest and blah, blah, blah - but meh, Tony and Topher both deserve all the props they can get as far as I'm concerned.
Those two, along with the other inevitable entries (we all have to know at least one other MWTA who will wind up fairly high up there) bust their asses at what they do - and deserve all the recognition they can get from wherever they can get it.

| I'm assuming he and Ben are the other surefire MWTA's who'll make the list, but also hoping for perhaps a handful of other surprises. |

I'm not scared that I haven't appeared on the list, yet. I'm likely in the top 20 somewhere. No big deal. But yeah, congrats to the others and whatever.

Well, if it were really a list solely of sound DJ's, then maybe I'd "deserve" a spot - but in reality it's (for the most part) a poll of popular producers, not DJ's, so in that sense, no, maybe I don't.
Without wanting to slight anyone or ruffle any feathers, if it were truly a list of talented DJ's who'd crafted their own distinctive style and sound, you probably wouldn't be able to find 250 guys who deserved to be on the list, period. :p
Such is life, though - that's dance music.  |

I should also note, however, that I don't think it's a bad thing that it's a poll that gives producers the props they deserve. All too often generic DJ's who put little to no effort into what they do get all sorts of recognition while the producers who are doing the real work get bupkus.
The perception that several DJ's are doing far more than they actually are (and getting credit for they had nothing to do with) is an absolute shame. |

its all about promotion...the more you promote your self out,the more votes u gonna get...period.i dont really care about TA poll...but i promote myself for the dj list...as of now i am 92nd...of course theres tons of better than me behind me at that poll but apearantly they dont promote theirselves enough for that..but at the end...its all about numbers... coz i ve seen djs that havent been at the top 250 of dj mag throwing down sets better than the top 20 ones.. |
