Is now discontinued, which is as I was planning on getting it and I cant afford to buy omnisphere, neither will my PC run omnisphere.
So:-
Does anyone know any shops where you can still get it?
If you manage to get it can you still register it with spectrasonics to remove the time limit on its use.
If I cant get it is there anything else out there that has the richness of pad sounds it had? excluding onmisphere. |

Sorry, I don't know of any, but have you checked eBay?
Regarding other synths, I suggest Rapture or Absynth. If you have or decide to buy Rapture, check out Galbanum's Piscis expansion:

I got it and checked the online shops where I regularly buy stuff and couldn't find it anymore either.
Some others:
Hypersonic 2 (although also discontinued)
FM7 (capable of many things on this regard)
Perhaps eBay or any other 2nd hand shop can be good to look for it. |

Narel, I reckon you should save your cash and upgrade your computer then buy omnisphere, It may take time but your music will benefit more than you'll ever imagine. In the meantime the only way your gonna get those rich evolving sounds is by creating them yourself.
Get yourself a plugin that has 4-8 osc and an abundance of envelopes, filters and fx. Absynth is good, then you can build a rich and atmospheric synth sound, squeeze it through some envelopes and filters automate your LFO's to give your sounds motion.
this is a lengthy process but very achievable.
Omnisphere blows the roof on creating orignal sounds, I bought it around 4 weeks ago and now my tracks sound more expensive.
hope this helps.

Done that with various synths, with varying degrees of success!! To be honest it was so much easier on atmosphere that was why I wanted it. Been using it in a mates studio for some time and the time came to buy it due to my studio upgrade.
Thanks to all for the suggestions, back to the drawing board. |
