| My dad took a class over an 8 hour day at had a huge speed boost by the end of it. It really works but you need proper coaching..testing, and practice. The trick is to stop sounding out the words in your head basically. The human mind can comprehend chunks of words at a time, but we have trained ourselves to sound each word out as if we are talking. This really limits the reading potential of most people. |

| I'm not sure what "rate" of reading qualifies as speed reading, but I'm fairly sure I do this already. |
