Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has had issues with traktor and mac os x
I've just been reading this:
http://www.native-instruments.com/i...pard&L=1#c68502
I was playing last night and started getting what sounded like USB drop outs.. small crackles...
Bit weird i thought.
Was playing for around 4 hours and it only happened once but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had these issues?
Running it on a Macbook Pro 2 gb of ram, 2.4ghz processor.
Odd i thought.. |

| I used traktor scratch for a few months on a Core 2 Duo Macbook and it constantly stuttered. The audio 8 dj worked great by itself and TS worked flawlessly on my Windows PC. I eventually said f* it and reverted to Serato. It's a shame too because TS has some great features. |

| 2gb of ram is a little weak imo. |

| you sure it's not a latency issue? you might have set your latency too low. also how did you get scratch pro already? it's supposed to be released on 1st of november! |

Strange. I'm running Traktor Scratch on a base macbook with 1gb of ram 2.1ghz dual core processor at 96khz at the lowest latency setting with absolutely no problems. I backed the latency off to the second setting, but you shouldn't be having any problems. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the audio 8 driver.
Maybe you should have waited for Scratch Pro to be released and tested/patched before buying.
If you're getting one dropout on four hours that is pretty good and you can probably eliminate that entirely by backing off the latency a bit especially if you don't scratch. |

I just can't see the software using more than 2gb of memory when the previous version works perfectly fine at max settings with 1gb of ram. If you aren't full of then they totally ed up and need to hire better programmers.
Just looked up the required specs which are 1.66 dual core and 1gb ram. So yeah like I said full of .
Probably has alot more to do with NI having problems with OSX 10.5.2 but that leads me to wonder why the user hasn't upgraded to 10.5.5 |

LOL. If any app requires 2000MB of RAM to run properly, I don't want it. That's ludicrous.
The only time I've had dropouts was when the Software Update thing pops up indicating a download was available So disable the "auto" checks when your playing, or just shut off your airport (if you use that to get online). |

The only things I can think of that need that much RAM are big sample libraries and video game textures. |
