What time I show up is irrelevant. Lee will never pack a club to capacity by 11pm in Toronto. |

Wow. That was epic.
Got in shortly after 10, no lineup at all outside. Everyone inside was buzzing, you could taste the excitement in the air. Heard that Danny was delayed because of his records being lost and that just cranked the anticipation levels higher. Thankfully he came on and said "let's make the best of it" and man, did he/we ever.
Beautiful rolling bassy progish stuff to start off, I was in heaven. Absolutley flawless programming. Bouncy beats all night long that had a techy slant later in the night. Loved the epic big room sound that started ~3ish. Overall I thought it was a warmer, house-ier set this time... I remember last year's having lots of tech house.
My friends staked out a spot at the front and although it was busy it never got rammed. I'm glad they decided not to cram the place like sardines in a can (though I do feel bad for those who were stuck outside for hours). Also appreciated the free Smirnoff drinks (free booze - Danny miracle!).
Time did some funny things. Early in the night it felt much later and then from 2:30 - 5 it just flew by.
So overall... great dj, phenomenal music, tons of friends, intimate club, friendly crowd... the perfect party recipe. And to think that this was the result after losing his records and having an upset tummy...!
Kudos to Footwork for this. Hope you guys can bring him back soon. |

Another great night at FW (Honey Dijon, Heather, and now Howells). I wasn't surprised at how busy it was at 9:30 but I was if that makes any sense. Loved the opening early and cheap drinks which would be great any big night (avoid the line up) and just have the preparty at the club.
Loved the set a lot more than I thought I would so that was a definite plus. Danny had perfect programming and flow through the night...can't think of too many other DJ's that would have been able to pull and open to close extended set that well (the other Danny being the other one). It was a really good crowd and group of friends but to be honest it wasn't shambles (well there was the odd exception) which I thought it would be. |

| got in around 9:30, interesting to see so many people that were ready to hear him start to finish. the first half hour was good musically but was just way too slow to really groove to... it seemed like perfect cruise music though. but after that was over he took off and killed it the rest of the night, lots of intelligent melodies and rippin prog basslines. overall he told an amazing story over the night that reminded me of wizard of oz for some reason, and i would definitely see him again. only complaint is some of the most glitchy/druggy songs seemed to drag on a little too long and that seemed to lose people... and his last 2 tracks were kind of anti climactic. |
