Personally, I'd save a bit more and buy used CDJ 200s and a 2 channel mixer.
But it seems that all you want is a MIDI controller. Look at some Vestax ones such as the VCI 100. Gives you a lot more than the Xone 1D for less/same price. There's not even a crossfader in the 1D so you cant mix. |

since when do you need a crossfader to mix? but i agree, that the xone:1D isn't probably best suited for mixing with it only as it only has one jog wheel and not very many controls. xone:1D would IMO work better with a real mixer, and still i'd get two of them. so i'd maybe look in to the vestax vci-100 like suggested. |

Ok, the vci 100 seems like its good since you guys recommended it.
Are there any other controllers that are worth checking out? |

| I would buy a Faderfox or A&H but that is just my preference. |

| How about the Serato ITCH program and controller? Plus you'll get a nice soundcard with it. |

"Only works with Serato ITCH out of the box"
The VCI-300 can be used with any other app. You'd have to map it out yourself, just like any other controller. Or just download a midi map file from online.
The tight integration with ITCH looks quite nice, though.
The Xponent has cool features, but it's cheaply made.

| Oh I thought you needed to do more than that in order for it to work with Traktor. I wonder if the price difference justifies buying a 300. |

You do pay a premium for the ITCH software.
Having the multi channel soundcard is nice too. It's almost $900 though.
The 100 is definitely nice as well.

What multi-channel sound cards are you looking at? There are quite a few options out there for much < $900. |
