I was using Cubase SX 2 prior to getting Studio 4. What happened to the Q filter insert? Right now all I can find for eq'ing tracks is the one main equalizer that has a hi/low self and 2 other points. I often times tweek the sht out of tracks so.. Is there additional eq filters in Studio 4 or is there a vst plugin that does the same thing with parametric eq?

click on the e on the track inspector of the track. That brings up the channel pane. The full graphic eq is there and you can change the type of eq from shelves to paras.

All the older plugins are on the Cubase DVD. Just copy them to your vstplugins folder.

Is that right? Why the do they not just include it as part of the install?

Also, I remember seeing some of the older plugins on the steinberg FTP. Not sure if they are still there though as it was quite a while ago.

Dunno i guess they figured if anyone really needs it they'll just copy it over themselves & they want to show off their new plugins.

Personally i find i cannot get by without Quadrafuzz, try it out on your bassline ;)
