Aint that the truth!!...from Twilo getting shut down and then vinyl/Arc closing..sound factory...Roxy..Exit..it was just one after another.. The tunnel and limelight gonnneee.... Man think of times we had in those places..Sucks cause most clubbers now a days dont have a ing clue as to what it was really like to go clubbing....I guess we were lucky lol...god PVD used to be $25 bucks if you brought the flyer to the door LMAO..Sasha and digweed every last friday of the month.. godddddd bring back those days.. |

as my friend Rob says we had it at the best time....it was a totally differnt atmosphere and vibe ...
something has to resurface with that undergroind vibe again...
nothing against the new jacks but there really have no clue what real clubbing is...they know what its like to a concert or like a show because thats all it is now |

im pretty new to the scene. but have you checked out Love for any of their events? very intimate venue with a banging system, always booking some great talents and the atmosphere is always great. and as for it being underground...it's a metal door with a bouncer standing outside of it. :P! |

Love itself hosts a bunch of events ranging in genres, but the ones you should look out for are the core events nyc ones. the next ones being Creamer & K -- & then M.I.K.E. vs. Martin Roth on thanks giving weekend. i believe zack, keryn, mike, and frank all help run the events. |

totally agree. janette and i stopped going to nyc when twilo, tunnel, and limelight closed. limelight was one of my favorite clubs of all time. avalon is a totally different place. that was actually when we started partying in DC. all our fave clubs closed in philly, then nyc. i didnt even realize roxy closed. pvd or armin was probably the last party i went to there. honestly i never liked sound factory. this weekend was the first time i've been back in ny in 5 years. some things haven't changed, but i'll always miss those clubs. those nights were worth the standing in line freezing, getting lost, towed, losing our car, getting tickets, etc etc. |
