Industry standard CD

Couldn't find anything on the search, so sorry if this topic has already came up. Anyway, what is the "industry standard" CD? What CD's do everyone burn their music to? A lot of mine are useless and skip a lot. :( Sorry for the stupid question which has probably been brought up a million times before.

| it might not be the cd...try a new burning program or lowering the speed you write them at. |

Ok, thanks man. Could you recommend any programs in particular? And as for CD - R, are there any types somebody could recommend which are decent? I currently use Sony. Thanks in advance! |

This is a fairly amusing question, what is this the construction industry:haha:
Anyway, I use TDK golds, they're supposed to be backed by a guarantee of being OK. |

| I use sony cdr's, but i use nero & burn at the lowest speed 8x. never have any probs.. |

very unlikely to have crappy CD-Rs these days...I would guess it's your burner or software.
any of the big name cd/dvd burners should be fine. software, Nero and Toast are the more common names, but there are plenty of alternatives.
and yes, stick to the lowest speed you can accept. |
