People always say omg I wish he would go back to playing more "dark" stuff, but I think that is waaay exaggerated. That set is barely any less "mainstream" sounding than what he plays today imo. |
The fact people find that set dark today is just an indication of how popish some of the tracks he plays now are. Also there was a ton of variation in that set, which makes it superior to the uplifting track after uplifting track after uplifting track (quick techy interlude) then uplifting track after uplifting track repertoire of newer sets. That said, I'll probably end up going. |

I really don't think anything has changed over the years. People just perceive the sets as more popish because armin is now more popular. Anyways, tonight will be fantastic.
