Nat the proper name for them is travellers
calling them Pikeys is kinda rude, pikeys are totally different
and are the ones you see parked in laybys on the side of the road with filthy kids
most travellers are loaded and usually in the scrap metal or construction biz and are decended from romanies
pikeys are not |

Anyways, all I know is if a traveller is around, you watch your back, your bag, dont let their kids get too close, etc... A huge traveller's brawl broke out in a bar in town recently, they just stormed the place with bats, the cops were called and they wouldn't even show up til it was over (and these cops have guns). Not sure if its a fear they have of them, or the fact that the cops are Protestant and this town is Catholic.
No matter how much money they have in the bank, they are not regarded very highly or trustworthy round these parts.
But seriously, what is with the tarting-up of those little girls??? |
