Yeaaa!!! hahahahah so now I can tell everyone the truth!!!... Sam and I actually DID GO TO THE SHOW! :) And totally surprised Randy (so we couldnt tell anyone!!) .. he had no idea we were coming.. we came down to DC from Connecticut with a van load of Randys friends... it was nuts!
Majai's set was really nice! Unfortunately though, We had to enjoy it from the BACK of the club because we couldnt let Randy see us yet hahha....
And then Randy's set was sooo soo good! Tons of new baaannngin freakin tunes, I loved every minute of it. As soon as he started playing we all RAN from the bar to the front and started screaming and going nuts - he was so surprised.. hahahaha Sam we are so sneaky I am so proud of us! Hearing Aden's Dream live was just amazing... everyone went nuts! That tune is out NOW! and climbing the charts on beatport, so go grab it
Darudes set was NUTS oh my goshhh!! it was some intense bass!! hahah, just how we like it. Him and Randys set totally complimented eachother well too. Real energetic sets, Darude is hilarious too, what a funny guy.
Fur is an awesome club!! The place is huge too - I've always been wondering about this place for so long im so happy we finally got to go... Well I took millions of picture as usual, but im exhausted so I will post em up tomorrow on here and facebook, myspace.
Man, we are crazy.. 7 people in 1 car for a 6 hour drive damnnnn... The ride down wasnt bad at all... that was fun and exciting.. the ride home on the other hand... oh my gosh was that rough.. hahahaa I just got home to Mass about an hour ago at 830pm. Thats some trance dedication right there! And we will be back for ATB ;) |

The surprize went over FABULOUSLY!! This club is insane...we all drove down from CT to surprize randy for the show!! He was quite surprized....The show was INSANE...sooo good... Randys set was perfection- Darude was HEAVENLY- so happy to finally meet him!!! Missed Majai- which is a bit of a dissapointment- but it was expected as it would have ruined the surprise to get there any earlier.
Everyone in DC was so great!! What a nie group of people!! I really am impressed by this city! Im looking forward to the ATB show now- with even more passion than before!!
the only problem with this show? :(

Darude & Randy Boyer @ FUR
So I said a while ago that I wanted to write up a little review about all the shows I go to.. and I kept up with it for like maybe 3 shows … let’s face it that would be ridiculous to do that for every show I go to!!... But this one was extra special!
Randy & Darude had a show at FUR in D.C. as part of their World Tour to promote Darude’s brand new album “Label This!”. So, Randy’s girlfriend, Karen, and I had the idea waaay back in the summer that we should surprise Randy at one of these shows! Actually, we were hoping to get a show where Mikey would be there too so we could both surprise our lovely boyfriends, but Mikey is stuck in Vegas and etc, so that was kinda impossible… So anyways, we grouped together a little fan-van of Randy fans and made the 6-7 hour trip to DC from Connecticut!! (from Mass for me…!) It was Myself, Karen, Sam, and then 4 of Randys closest friends.. Desire, Shawn, Dan & Brian…
So prior to the show we had to be so sneaky and figure out how we were gunna pull this off. I was able to contact Darude to find out what hotel they were staying at, so we all booked a room at the same place. Karen borrowed her sisters van (THANK YOU KATE!), meanwhile Sam and I were posting all over the forums that we were so sad we couldn’t make the show… haha.. So all in all we pulled it off and came ready with a freakin car load of all of us ready to party, as Karen was on the phone the whole drive lying to Randy about being out shopping and out to dinner with friends hahaha… Probably the most depressing thing ever was that Randy left CT a few hours AFTER us and still got there so much sooner than us… as he obviously flew and we drove. Hahha (Well more depressing was on the way home with a much less enthusiastic van load of 7 hung over people, smushed together, a couple nauseous episodes that some fresh air QUICKLY, thank god, took care of)… hahah! Naw, I kid – it was great to rock it out with some very cool people for our crazy car ride, nausea and all.
So we got to the hotel, checked in, so scared that Randy was gunna pop out of the elevator and be like…. “WHAT!!?” hahah Checking in at the front desk quietly whispering my name across the counter and being all nervous, these hotel people were probably so sketched out…
Well, we totally pulled off the surprise… Got to the club and hung out in the back by the bar while Majai was playing.. then once Randy started spinning we all BOOKED it up to the front and started screaming like crazy fools and his face lit up!! He was so surprised, it was hilarious! I guess he was SUSPECTING that Karen and Des might come, but their story was so good then he doubted it by the day of the show, and he had noooo idea that the rest of us were coming, so I’m sooo freakin proud of us for pulling this one off! The fact that I could get away from nursing and work for 1 weekend is miracle enough..
So about the actual show—Fur is awesome!! It’s a hugeee club with a bunch of rooms.. however in our excitement we kinda skipped those details and headed straight for the main floor & the bar (how typical?) ! The sound is great, lighting was great- the only thing I didn’t looove is that the DJ booth is quite high, probably comparable to Pacha in NYC. Which is cool from the booth, but to the fans below maybe not.. I know I like my DJs and arms length away.. being the spoiled brat that I am
Randy’s set was BANGIN!! The crowd kept filling in throughout his set, he went on at about 11:30 perhaps. We got to hear the Rafael Frost mix of Aden’s Dream which is OUT NOW! That song is just freaking amazing, I think I lost my voice during that one.. .and there are no vocals in that song either – go figure?! Hahahah! Got to hear Randy’s Smashing Pumpkins- Disarm Remix… This is becoming one of those tunes that I fall in love with more and more every time I hear it. Randy played a lot of unfamiliar tunes too.. which I absolutely loved – I mean, any DJ in the world can play my favorite song and I will LOVE it, but I love when DJs bring new stuff to the table that I like the very first time I hear it… The same was true for Darude’s set, I didn’t know all the tunes but me and Sam kept looking at eachother with that “OMG what IS THIS?!” look! It was so great to hear Darude play Randy’s mix of You Never Said by Cerf Mitiska & Jaren. I love that tune.
All in all the night was an absolute BLAST! It was so fun to hang out with everybody and to meet Darude – who is such a cool guy by the way, and so hilarious! Shout outs to hooking us up with all the secret info we needed to make our surprise happen =)
If I am not mistaken there are plenty more dates coming in 2009 for this tour, so there is no way I am missing the East Coast appearances! GREAT TIMES… another show down in the books, infinity to go!

actually i just realized you will be in Miami after that shortly,.. so as a matter of fact you MUST COME!! Or else I will cry many many tears, I dont think I will be in NYC any time from now till then anyways.awww G!!! |

| damn...another one I missed! I was expecting Darude to say something here on TA, but I guess he was busy this year. Because last year he showed up on TA and invited his fans. anyway I can't miss ATB! |

| OMG what an amazing night!!! Thanks to everyone who came out, FUR was so much fun, proper sound, lights and of course the people were nuts!!! I really hope to come back soon. Darude right now is traveling over seas, I know for a fact, if he saw this thread he would def say hi, and comment on the night, hes just that kind of person, extremely nice!
