sorry but my google-in skillz be off today.
people that run wireless internet do you have issues with streaming videos/data online. like the signal will stop, you'll have to load another web page just to make the computer fire up the signal again?
is there a way around this? i'm on a G router |

you shouldn't have any issues with streaming video on a G router. Go to a speedtesting site like
http://www.speedtest.net/
and make sure your broadband connection isn't slow. sometimes my roadrunner s up and I get like 1.5 megs instead of 6 and I have to reboot my router. |

| Mine usually works fine. If connection is lost it will just pause until its back and loaded again. Does on mine anyways :) |

Nope.
I use my wireless to stream movies all the time. |

| Get one of those "rangemax" or whatever routers that has 108Mbps on 802.11G. It is great and fast. No problems...except my router needs replacement. It craps out all the time. :( |

What does it do that makes it not work well? Is it related to flash video? |

| No u shouldn't have any drops at all. Could be the router (hardware wise) going to the ter on ya, or ISP. |

My router is taking a . It pisses me off constantly. Always dropping my connection every hour or so.
It isn't his ISP. I have the same ISP as him. It is badass fast. |

| Silly question...but do you reboot your modem and router often? Using torrents and other types of heavy connections bogs them down and can cause glitches. If you have tried this, I would look into another router for sure. |

you know how on the windows taskbar you have the lil wireless signal thing... it lights up blue when its active, grey when not? say i'm watching a video on nbc.com or comedycentral.com etc if i'm not running something else in the background the video will just stop... my wireless signal thing will show as grey until i load up another page in which it turns blue and the video starts again.
seems weird, i know but i can't figure it out |
