OK, i'm not sure how others feel about this. i don't contribute as much to nyta as much as i used to, but it's disappointing to see that a majority of the threads are event listings from noobs that sign up just to spam the forum. i like seeing the local events (read: NYTA-thrown) listings because it's a great way for the regulars to meet up (which i have not done in a while sadly). but the threads from obvious promoters is getting a tad ridiculous. i mean, who's areaevent? and how did he/she get two threads of his/hers stickied at the top?
i just wanted to vent. |

I agree man. I came close to making this thread last week.
I participate in some of the promotions threads here and there, so I can't really knock it all. Some promotion belongs in the main NYTA forums...
However, it really does annoy me to no end to see someone register a name just to post 3 promotional threads in a row, about parties that are in no way geared towards people on TA...its blatant spam. |
