lol saw that...theres a difference between a holograms and that.
yea its cool that they had multiple angles recording her but she was not projected in the studio as they portrayed her...but merely synced and overlayed on the studio video taken co relating to angles the cameras in the studio were placed at.
hologram..pffft...
they spent 3 days setting up something as pointless as that soon to be taken down again...talk about not knowing when the moment is right  |

Just saw this as well, i thought it looked pretty decent actually.
Considering an earlier interview with the same reporter wasn't audible as the crowds in the background were way to noisy (ovcviously), I thought the hologram idea was pretty well utilized. She was able to head into a secluded tent and basically got beamed into CNN headquarters. The quality was a little shady and you could see parts flicker, but for a first try i thought it was pretty well done actually.
Should be interesting to see how this technology is utilized in the future. |

It honestly looked exactly like the hologram of Princess Leia from Star Wars lol
They even mentioned it lol
Did anyone else see their hologram of the White House they used?
I love watching CNN HD.
Watching it in HD just makes it so much better. You get all that extra info on side panels (eventhough this election doesn't have much good info).
Even ABC is using the HD panels to continuously display extra info for us!
HD!!

considering the fact that it was the FIRST hologram on TV i wasn't expecting it to look 100% life like. 30 years ago holograms were only in sci-fi movies, no one even imaged that something like that would be possible.
Sure the quality wasnt the best but if you think about the fact that that it was a 3D moving image of someone hundreds of kilometers away, its pretty impressive to me. Its these types of innovations and technological advancements that move society forward. |

I wonder how much it cost them do that.
The chick said they had like 30 HD cameras surrounding her and this special tent and stuff.
All of that for like 1 minute worth. Hopefully they use it a bit more.

| what was wrong with split screen conferencing? in the end of the day, both cases they had to look at tv screens to see each other and we couldnt really care less how the back of her head or his head for that matter look |
