hi

I would like to ask you , why when I listen to some of my prod on my headphone, its looses all is energy, doesnt seem pro , but on speakers its sound perfect.
Is it because of the mixing or mastering.. ?

thank you
Lolo
mixing most generally, but depends on the headphones. You don't tell us which monitors and which phones you're using.

i have ALESIS PRO LINEAR 820 as speakers and Staton pro dj 2 as headphones, and also got booth dj speakers(sounds good in it), but it doesnt matter of the headphones cuz when i listen to other track ,its sound good on those headphones.

Needs more analogue and sidechain to reach the pro level. Also some mastering with analogue outboard flux capacitors.

These sort of jokes were funny the first time, really funny the 99th time and now on the 2000th time, hilarious...

I'm a total noob and have the most invalid opinion ever however:

Who cares, are people going to be listening to this stuff oh headphones? If they are then screw them anyway... speakers are inherently better. Headphones tend to sepereate the sounds and stuff... and some things just never work on them.

Have you not heard of such a thing as an Ipod.

Here's how you get t3h pr0 sound:

1. Stereo separation.
2. Balance between frequencies (using EQing + good sound selection) and a "full spectrum."
3. No "clashing" between frequencies or sudden spikes in volume; compression can help with the second part.
4. Samples and sounds that "go well together."
5. Layering and automation of sounds to achieve interesting complexity.
6. Arrangement and track structure that retains listener interest.
7. Synths and samples that sound great without any tweaking.
8. Attractive rhythms and melodies that tug at your emotions and / or make you want to move.

Getting all that stuff down can be difficult. But that's pretty much what you have to do.
