It's a sad day for Dance music in Charlotte :(

Gotta buy your records online now son.. and pay those expensive shipping fees :/

Vinyl is expensive, period. The reasons that I have dabbled in it were for the "cool" factor, and to improve my overall skills. Plus, DJs here get more respect for mixing on vinyl, although that trend may change soon. Some hard-to-find stuff is only on vinyl... But I can't imagine buying tunes exlusively on wax 0.0

Central was a really cool place to hang out. Lin had all sorts of random stuff in stock, and there were even some gems in the .10 section. The cats were awesome and made sure that your "new" vinyl sleeves had some breaking in before you bought them! I'm gonna miss the laid back atmosphere. Not to mention all of the promos flying around...

I don't think an online website could ever give you that same experience :(

Now is the best time to start listening to punk and shopping across the street.

One of our shops here in Charleston, Millenium Music, went out of busniess last year. So my store, Monster Music, is the only one left. They were like 10x bigger than us.
