At this point it'd be a surprise for you to find much of anything comforting.

Lol, true. I accept that Barack will be my president and that, for better or for worse, no matter how much I disagree with his governing philosophy (much of which will likely be put on hold due to the state of affairs in the world), I will support him as much as I can as my leader. However, that said, I was more hopeful that we'd see a lot of new blood in his cabinet and to the extent, as you point out, that he is bringing back vestiges of the Clinton era, I am a bit displeased. For all the talk about change and what not, I'd like to see a little more change and not a reversion back to a different time.

I can agree with you on those points. If you do end up supporting him as you say, you'd be a better person than I was with Bush. Then again even if I'd be hard pressed to support Bush now, I imagine it would have been much easier for me when Bush first took office. So give yourself 4 years. ;)

I haven't really factored out who has what position. Though my understanding is most of the Clinton people are being named to transition positions and would not be following him into the first term. Regardless, I would prefer to see more new blood and he needs to start naming republicans as well.

Maybe you're half kidding, maybe you're not. A horse of a different color is still a horse. The change I'm waiting for is in policy and procedure.

Reminds me of the one about the zebra that went to heaven...

Lol. That's the one.

Beats me. But for all the talk and campaigning on "change" and a new direction, I'd like to see something that actually represents change or a new direction...stuff we haven't seen before.

PS looks like Clinton is a little issued for Secretary of State, however it seems like it may happen - if she isn't solid to be leader in the house...

To this I can only say, ing . Better than Kerry, but ing . Those Clintons always find a way to meddle. I prefer my Hillary far away from politics. Then again, this will at least keep her out of the health-care debate...hopefully.

. He just picked Daschle for Health & Human Services. I hate that guy.

I've been hearing all kinds of bitching about the fact that Obama is using some of Clinton's team. And I thought most of America wanted experience?

Looks like they may have been fabricated or created in real time.

I guess they are still in talks and nothing is concrete. Here's to the Clinton's being shut out!

looks like it's a 3rd Clinton term run by Obama. What was that quote he said not too long ago about change not being a matter of just re-arranging the same old people in Washington into different chairs? :tongue2
