Not much, going to Finland today for a gig this saturday. It doesn't earn that much, but all expenses are covered. Free food lol :p. Then again I'm not that popular, but things are starting to get better I must say :).

got any sets uploaded anywhere? i have no idea what kind of stuff you play, but if it's good i might come check you out on saturday!

A promotional set right there. Most music will be like this and a bit trancier (Chris Reece/Daniel Portman/DJ Remy stuff).

It's in Turku, if you do decide to come by come and say hi :)

i live in turku, so it's no problem for me. gonna go see the new bond movie with a bunch of mates earlier on saturday. gonna have to ask them if they'd come along to listen to some good music. ;)

Cool, just come up and say hi, even in the middle of the set. Just do it :) Maybe I'll tell you to wait a sec, but you know hehe. Till then perhaps!

I do it for the music. But you aren't going to get me out of my house or studio without paying me.

I do it for the love of taking 2 separate entities and making them into something completely new of my making. I love to watch the crowds reaction and to see the bodies in motion enjoying themselves. Getting paid is definitely a nice bonus for doing something I enjoy.

I once wouldn't start playing my set at my mates 21st until his dad paid me my fee's and lined up 5 huge lines of columbia's finest.

He's no longer my friend.
elFreak
hookers n blow with the odd free scarf here and there.

to be honest, it is a loaded question.

it is either a hobby or a job.

I will stop DJing once it becomes purely a money thing for me.

Wicked set :).

And as for the discussion, I am 19 and i would like to start getting some gigs myself. i wouldnt really care if i got paid or not for my first few gigs or so becuase the first experiences of playing out for the public and learning from them would be enough, And the enjoyment of course, but if i gradually started more gigs throughout the years, i would expect a little payment. i would still play of course even if i didnt get paid, no question about it.
