well here is my list...
effects:
dblue glitch (no further explaination needed I guess :D)
dfx buffer override (very unique sound buffer age)
dfx scrubby (sound buffer games #2)
dfx Transverb (very unusual Delay FX)
HG SoundScaper (another wicked comb/delay/atmosphere FX tool)
bionic delay (awesome delay plugin)
PiWarp (dark eerie ringmod kinda effect)
CamelCrusher (simple yet effective distortion tool)
mgTriggerGate (simple trancegate)
E-Phonic LoFI (IMO maybe the best bitcrusher, great possibilities for destroying the sound)
BluePhaser/BlueFlanger/BlueChorus (decent free phaser, flanger and chorus)
otiumFX BassLane (MUST HAVE! it centers your bass area, that means you can compensate lost "bass power" from phasing/stereo effects on your bass area)
buzzroom BuzMaxi (Nice Maximizer/Limiter Plugin)
De La Mancha "Sumo" (Sumo is a great tool for fast and easy fattening and enhancing vocals/synths/drums/anything)
instruments:
Synth1 (very popular for its great sound at zero cost)
Starrsynth 2 Bass Edition (good for nasty synth basslines)
scansynthGL by MDSP (really unique synthesis method, one of the most intuitive approaches to a synth, its pre-alpha and never continued though)
TAL Bassline (looks interesting for bass sounds) |

Don’t bother with glitch.
It’s overused… especially in house music. |

I'd personally go with Reaper with the Tresor Theme as I like its footprint and routing flexibility. Plus its got some great fx from Stillwell Audio / Schwa built in. |

Very very nice list mate, will check some of these out, however one point of interest was this...

otiumFX BassLane (MUST HAVE! it centers your bass area, that means you can compensate lost "bass power" from phasing/stereo effects on your bass area)

If you centre stereo effects, won't you just be negating your earlier efforts?
For example say your bass is comprised of 2 oscillators each detuned slightly and panned hard, won't centering them just cause phasing and even more lost bass power?
I am interested to hear your experience on this. |

| Interesting question... no, I think that plugin can not handle the extreme cases, in some cases it creates a wierd "boost" to the bass.. I can hardly describe it. Its great however when youre working with a synth that has a great sounding bass preset that is stereo or has stereo FX on it. I suggest you simply give it a try, it wont hurt I promise :D |
