Damn you FB for removing that option! :(

Ya I noticed it when I started getting invites from people I blocked invites from. At least they still have the "block this application feature"...though I'm still getting tons of notifications that say "So and So wants you to write on their wedding wall" blah blah blah

I just wanted you to be a part of my special day...bitch! :(

I'm telling you, deleting promoters is the only way to fix it.

Why don't you just ingnore the Invites. It's like having a classifieds option on your homepage. You don't have to read it, however, prehaps one day you'll be interested in going out and the info will be there for you.

No?
Skipper
^^ because the info is available in umpteen different spots...the TA event forum for one. The club's website for another.
The problem isn't one event invite, it's multiple invites for the same event from the promoters, the club's group, AND the DJs. So say 3-5 invites for the same event, times quite a few number of events per week...it's spam, plain and simple.

You weren't someone that I had on ignore...it was mostly Toronto promoters since I can't go up to Toronto as much. I only left one un-ignored so I would only find out about the same event once.

B/c there are some invites that I do want to know about, so I don't feel like I should be made to ignore them all.

Actually it's usually more than 3-5 given the number of reminders you get from each person.

Facebook continually gets abused by promoters and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not on there to hear about club events. I am on there to connect with friends, and for a long time the only time I ever heard from a group of people on my friend list was for events and for no other reason. Add that to getting text messages from certain promoters AND the roll calls for events...there is no shortage of ways to find out details if you decide you want to go out.

Ya, I've left a ton of groups due to spam. Realistically it's rare that I even to go Group pages anyway...so there's no point in being part of them.

I have a bit of a love/hate with the promoter spam, as I do use it to find out about events - and been a few I've found out about before they reached TA/Tribe/OM/etc.

But, just wish I'd only find out about it once, not 10 times.
