Why would you do that? I had the same option. One study I watched random images flash on a screen in front of me and then wrote down which ones I remembered, and in another they put a neural net on my head and measured my brain's response to a set of images. I think I had to do 4 hours worth total, I don't remember the other two, but they were along the same lines. Soooo much easier than a paper... | Not doing the paper is the easy way out for the lazies. |

actually, the paper was the lazier one to me. I didn't have to go look for options, find a time that worked, show up on time, set aside a few hours for that, put on clothes, etc. I had the entire semester to decide what I wanted to write about at the last minute. |

We has the same thing when I was doing Psych. I did the tests, and it was pretty cool. One guy gave me electric shocks when I ed up on the 'concentration' task. Pretty decent ones too :wtf: |

the problem lies not in the size of the obstacles, but, rather, in the number. |

I'm actually looking for jobs in this, just on the other side :wtf:
Clinical trials are generally quite safe but there's always inherent risks. I wrote a paper for Immunology on a clinical trial which went horribly wrong. It's one of the most famous clinical trials ever where the 6 patients came about as close as you could to death after the drug caused their own immune system to attack their body in the worst way possible. |
