Taken from an interview with deadmau5 and it was an interview he gave to one of our national news papers the irish daily star and it goes as follows
".. red hot canadian producer deadmau5 hits irish shores this weekend but local dj's better keep out of his way.
the five times beatport award winner told clubmix in an explosive interview that he HATES dj's and think they're all ing ****s. deadmau5 prenounced dead mouse said he will only perform live shows of his own music and think dj's should be extinct. he says it puts me to ing sleep to be quite honest, i dont really see the technical merit in playing two songs at the same speed together and it bores me to ing tears and hopefully with all due respect to the dj type that will ing go the way of the dinosaur id like them to disaingpear. joel continued, its so middle man, they're like ing lawyers you need them, but they're ing ****s. god bless them they're my number one customer right so im not gonna go diss every ing dj.but to say you become this massive up on a podium performer by playing other peoples productions at the same speed as someone eles productions and fading between the two of them, i don't get it. | that's funny that he said that because he also refuses to let ableton dj/producers open up for him when he does the exact same thing and it seems as though, that is exactly what he is raving about here as being a true artist..I do get his point though..a-b djs are ****s what's the talent in mixing from one cd to the next?? |

Not as easy as it looks. The turntable is an instrument. |

being a dj..cdj are easier than they even look..not that difficult to get two tracks in sync.doing live re-edits, cutting tracks up and keeping everything in harmonics requires much more talent than pressing play on a cdj and nudging a little to get it in sync. |

Disagree - but I haven't had a great deal of experience with CDJs. Currently I'm using (1) Denon DNS-3500 CDJ and (2) Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables. I prefer vinyl if possible.

I agree...;) |

| I agree that turntables are harder but not many people use them anymore and it is very hard to even find vinyl at a reasonable price for it to be worth it. I still don't understand why he doesn't like other ableton djs to open up for him though?? Is he afraid??:p :D |
