i got big pants
im sure somebody would know the answer to this quick question.

i will be moving to a mac and i am a bit concerned with ripping cds and what not. the lame encoder is something i want to use, but it seems like the current version of itunes doesnt work with the lame plugin.

anyways...is another option to rip the cd as a wav file from itunes, throw that wav into audacity, and export it as a lame 320mp3?

i cant see why it wouldnt work...but would like to make sure. this is my first mac, and im still learning the ropes.

why do you need to rip the cds with itunes? i use max myself as i think it's much better.
here's a link:

you got many options with max. i rip all my stuff as apple lossless.
