Good Quality Live Sets. A rarity?

It seems to me after going through my liveset collection how rare it is to find an awesome quality rip. I mean imagine we could get full blown, CD quality--straight from the DAT rips of DJ livesets. How cool would that be? I always think the songs sound better live because they've been pitched up and tweaked with all those knobs the DJ's use as well as the woots and cheers of the crowd.

That is because livesets are broadcasted over the net, that is how most are recorded, and that means you have to be on a very fast connection to record at a high quality, and to get the high level stream. I dont mind if there is a dodgy start or end, but most of my livesets are good quality, and usually i just pick out the bewst tunes and download them :)

Im not sure how u rip em, but u just need a digital output on ur sound device and a digital input on ur soundcard and a good soundrecorder program and voila :)
Problem is, most sets are recorded from radio, and tehre's no telling whether the signal on the radio will be top-notch yadiyada.

Yeah.. and the other problem with Sky Digital is that they have a massive level of compression on the 'good' radio stations, which make them sound e and tinny anyway. :(

it's better to record directly from the mixer :D :D
