I've just watched the first post-election Obama press conference, where he outlined his economic plans.
Hate to say it, but somehow I didn't witness a very confident performance. He seemed just a bit hesitant, and there were some awkward pauses where he was still trying to "find himself." Also, what was that reference to Nancy Reagan all about? lol.
I hope he adopts a more confident manner in the months ahead.
this reminds me of W's first press-conference. When someone asked him what the White House was like, his response was, "It's white."

I'm guessing, but I bet part of it was a bit of stage fright and part of it was that he's now been privy to some information he hadn't seen before about the economy and probably had a major "OH " moment. No doubt he has one of the toughest economic tasks ahead of him that'll take much hard work and innovative thinking.

Yes, this. The weight on his shoulders right now must be crushing - immediately following the campaign. Look at the guy, he seems like he hasn't gotten an ounce of sleep in the last 48 hours. As transitions go, I think he is handling himself very well, considering the monumental tasks ahead. Give the guy a break he is basically being asked to fix the World.
