Wasn't too impressed at all, liked him a whole lot better at Ultra this year, closer was pretty tight though...any thoughts for those who participated :conf:

I read mixed reviews on some of the other boards about DS. The closer was Exacta, who everyone agreed was sick.

i thought his set was pretty good and a bit better than the last time he was here. although solid he definitely could have picked up the pace a lot more so i can see why you wouldn't be too impressed. there were lulls in the set where i was thinking seriously this is a nice track but you are the headliner, work it out dammit :whip:.

anyway, didn't expect him to play chakalaka but i guess everyone is playing it (heard armin and the swedish house mafia drop that last week). really glad he played muranyi vs diamond life because love singing along to that track :D. oh and when he dropped minority i couldn't contain myself :).

compared to the others who played that night his mixing was impeccable...i did not enjoy the opening and closing sets. i give it to them that they had moments but that's it. i don't remember what track dirty south opened up with but i remember thinking dear god why did they play that as their last track .

i thought ds did a good job with the samples here and there, like i thought i was going to hear pjanoo but i guess not. would liked to have heard partouze last night though especially since angello & ingross didn't play it last week. dirty south played a good handful of his own productions like pyramid, this is the end (as his last track appropriately), open your heart, let it go, minority, in the dark and sorry all of which i guess you could say were givens that he would play...

despite the guids annoying us and being surrounded by more crackies than usual i had a grand time :D. other than the two people i went with didn't know a soul there which is definitely a contrast to going to a trance event. anyway, decent set and i can't wait for dragan to return and play for longer than 3hrs!

I think I seriously went just to hear him drop this song. (The correct closing song as chimera66 pointed out.)

Mixed feelings for me, too, but I enjoyed his set overall. I wish he played that mashup of Europa and It's Too Late separately. The original remix of It's Too Late is better to listen and dance to.

Dirty South is literally a DJ's DJ... its pretty intense standing there watching what the guy does. Constantly sampling, and using all 3 cdjs the whole time, etc, etc...

As far as the music he plays, i enjoyed it, but its predictable what he's going to play... i don't think i could listen to him for more than 3 hours.

Great times at Pacha, looking forward to Fedde & Zacharaia this Friday (as well as the good times in the basement!)
