I have a pair of KRK RP8's and they are awesome by the way. I am just wondering though if its bad to have a monitor laying on its side? Will it affect quality or is it overall just not good for the monitor..
I am having trouble trying to find a spot to place my second monitor in my bedroom. i found a spot on my bookshelf but it would have to lay on its side to fit... Thats why i am asking before i do it.
Thanks, cheers |

| It isn't ideal but if that is the only place you can put it then it won't kill you. |

| Some monitors are known for a drop in quality by placing them on their sides. In some cases it changes the response in some way. I don't really know how, just heard that from a couple of studio engineers. |

I think it is because they are designed with the tweeter being physically above the midrange driver. That probably distorts your sound image when you tip it over. |

| for djing purposes, I don't think it should affect you too much. I have tried both and personally I can't really tell too much of a difference. |
