Well this just helps me confirm how ty my last relationship was that we hung on to for sooooo long "not dating" for like 1 and a half years after we broke up.
She was a really fun person to hang out with but she didn't get me. When I'd try and express my distaste for the current state of consumerism/economics/society she end up telling me "you just hate the world".
Also, I had to lie to her a bunch about drug use and I don't even do much. Lieing sucks. |

my current relationship started off kinda rocky. the whole friends w/ his ex gf thing rubbed me the wrong way at first and we had a few arguments but they were more like lenghty discussions about "us" and what i expect out of a relationship and vice versa. we were just trying to determine if we were a good match.
but then out of nowhere we just became solid as a rock. never have those talks any more. i think most of it had to do with me. i just had to get over my insecurities and i did. now we're like 2 peas in a pod.
i definitely like a little space here and there and he tends to be the one who wants to do everything together. even if i say i'm running up to put gas in my car he wants to go with me lol but it's cute and i don't mind:) he knows when i need my space and let's me do my own thing when i ask (i.e. happy hour with my girls instead of coming right home after work).
oh yea and pretty much no secrets at all with us. he even knows about TA and that's a big deal for me lol |

lol Jamie, my hubby found out about TA when we met Scott & LeeAnn in Georgia :stongue:
We never hide anything from each other, but we also don't dwell on things that might cause insecurities (for example, past relationships - [again, we don't hide anything, but the past is the past for a reason, and there's no reason to judge each other for it]).
The one thing I love about our relationship is the fact that we've never argued, ever. If one of us has a problem or something we're concerned about, we just talk about it, rationally. Which is great! I love that we just look at each other and say "this is bothering me, let me explain why", then we talk about it, and at the end we say "ok, I understand, let's find a way to solve this dilemma".
I gush love for him  lol |
