personally id go with the 7506s. but thats my preference on crisper/less boomy bass due to the driver type. plus theyre $110 at the sony store when i bought them.
larse from ym, junkies, porter, carl lio, me use it... tons do for a reason ;) |
howells...
man. tons of big name djs, but for the life of me i can't think of them at the moment.
there is a reason why 7506s are practically industry standard for over 20yrs |

$20 per year is a pretty good deal. Sound is off the hook. |

what do people think of the Sony MDR7509HD headphones? |
I've got those. Best headphones out there for DJing IMO.
I've had mine for almost 8 years, and I've been gigging out with them on a regular basis since 2003. They've taken a huge beating over the years, and they're still intact and sound as good as the day I got them.
The only issue I'm having is the coating on the padding is flaking off a little bit, but it took 7 years of regular use for that to happen... and It's only happened in a couple of little spots.
Everyone I've known that has had these headphones has refused to go back to anything else... and none have needed to purchase another pair unless they lost theirs. |

i love my 7506 but what's the difference b/w 7506 and this one? |
7509's are a higher end model. Also more expensive.
I paid $350 for my mine back in 2000. I think they go for about $250ish now. Worth ever penny |

Guess I will have to switch over. I've been using the 700s and just cracked my 2nd pair...
Am debating between the usual suspects:
HDJ1000 (Tied between these and the 706's right now)
MDRV706 (although, I don't like the way they don't hug the head as well as the 700s)
RP-DH1200 (Never used them before, don't know what they sound like) |
