A beast of a track...I've been wondering how I might replicate the buzzing 'bee' sound used throughout, in Reason...Any ideas?
Here's a sample(only one I could dig up):

As said, it is throughout, playing out as an E. It goes solo at around 3:45, but the video doesn't seem to want to allow skipping through, and I'm sure that y'all can't be arsed to sit through. :p |

POB has a pretty distinctive style.
One way to get that sound would be to run a synth or maybe just some low-passed noise playing quick notes through a simple delay with a very short time (like 20 - 30 ms or something). To vary the pitch, you could automate the time on the delay: move it up or down by a few ms.
I've used that to get sounds very similar to this before. |
