Edit: Plus it's a USB Type B plug which are pretty tough to just "come out" without physically yanking the plug or unit. The way the cable is lying pretty much shows that the AKAI was put down but never plugged in.
This explains why they generally don't like photographers taking any pics from behind them.
Exactly. It's *so* rare to have a cable just come undone like that, mid-set. Then again, some of those smaller parties are so out of control that everyone is up on stage or climbing around that I have seen things get knocked loose.

In their defense, he could have been moving the unit and not noticed the cord was pulled taut and out it came.

Beleive it or not I heard from someone that one time Ferry Corsten was so ed up at a show in Canada I beleive that he popped in a CD and let it play. Not bashing on the guy at all though. I've seen him many times and his sets are nothing less than perfection, and to be honest if I saw him and he was all trashed and decided to pop in a CD I would laugh and keep dancing.
