Producers and DJs that have abandoned dance music?

What famous producers and DJs over the course of dance music have simply thrown in the towel and stopped producing, spinning, or having anything to do with dance music altogether?
I can think of plenty that have died, but not many who have simply stopped. FSOL moved on to non-dance music, I guess... |

I was going to mention the FSOL. I've never dared try their psychedelic/prog rock stuff because their PNG Translations album was pretty poor, and that was supposed to be the record that bridged between their old and new styles. It's a shame they went in that direction really, because I reckon the FSOL were so damn interesting. How many other IDM acts of the 90s were signed to a major label and had consistent chart success with some incredibly weird records? |

I guess that countless EDM producers of the past don't make music any more. What happened to most early-90s Eye-Q, MFS, Harthouse, Superstition etc. Trance producers? |
