yeah, i did that in 99' seventeen years old. hey carlos do yall hire ex-cons? i got a resume and im willing to relocate! |
Ha! Man I wish. The only reason I got a job there, honestly, is because all of Tahiti knows my dad along with half of BP and Wood Group. If it weren't for that, I'd still be delivering booze for that ing lame ass old piece of lawyer I worked for.
Here's a little piece of advice. Alot of places these days hire on the basis of "knowing someone". My fat ass Asian friend just got onboard with us at Mustang Eng. only because he knew me and my project manager. This kid's going to be working in the streamline department and he can't even spell "ball". Try to make as many friends as you can, be cool with them, and most importantly be as honest as you can and show them you are human just like they are.
This ed up system and the people that run it tend to consider people like you and I "criminals and killers" when something shows up on a background check. We might as well say we shot someone, diced them up, boxed the pieces and sold their body parts in Mexico because in their minds, that's what we are. It's just a matter of trying to find new ways of working around that theory. It's possible. You just need to be patient. It'll come to you before you know it. |

That's because over half of us TXTA's have our name in the TCR (Texas Criminal Records). We're just playing the "keep quiet" game because our beloved friends have told us not to tell anyone.
Ya figure? |

Most don't. You would be surprised the amount of people I know who make more than I do, but they can't even do elementary mathematics like the Calculus. |

Or pre-school numbers like Quantum Physics.

| 'Elementary' used in this context doesn't refer to primary education/grade school, but rather the elements of mathematics instead of their application which would be the next step. I don't expect people to be able to be able to apply that knowledge to real world situations as quantum is definitely beyond most humans, but I do believe it is fully within everyone's grasp to understand the whats and whys of basic differentiation and integration. I firmly believe that not even the most basic of university degrees should be conferred without at least passing cal 1. |
